Once again, my entry for ~MaddeningTruth's Voodle contest. I forgot to mention the proper credits last time, so that'll be at the bottom of this one.
Also, here's a repost of the backstory. -------------------- Starla was created from a house that had just one child and almost no dolls to speak of. She never had any siblings because of this, and always fancied herself something of a loner. In the beginning of her life as a Voodle, she was thoroughly worn out in body and in spirit, and she went through her first years of rebirth lonely and sad. She had always had companionship of the child, but never any other toys or dolls, and so she tried for years on end to survive and cope without any Voodle friends. Her figure, admired among her peers due both to its natural attractiveness and its resilience (for it had kept most of its shape after she was abandoned), led to many of the other Voodles trying to get closer and know her better. But in the end, she pushed them away as much as she could until she finally broke down from the strain of loneliness. A broken soul, Starla now searches the Voodle world for the companionship that she once had -- for a new child to love her. -------------------- Voodle concept © ~MaddeningTruth Starla © me Starla's name © Injury Comments
Sweet, colour, I l like to see all the patches different colour, like a rainbow ^^
(Spectrem rofl) It's just as good in colour as it was in ablack and white, you've out done yourslerf in my books ^^ -- Stern Use stern in a Sentence adjective +Firm, strict, or uncompromising: stern discipline. Star Use Star in a Sentence noun +Any of the heavenly bodies, except the moon, appearing as fixed luminous points in the sky at night. Yeah, the basic idea was that Starla had needed to be patched more than once, and the parents ran out of the first material that they'd used, and so had to switch to a backup fabric. The result of all that, of course, is two different colors of patches.
Thanks. ^_^ It's always good to hear. I think I'll be handing this character design over to you exclusively, though, since I'm not liable to be able to draw her right ever again. XD Long story short, though, she's yours. I'm not taking ownership of Starla any more, as soon as the contest is done. -- </ego> Good cheese comes from happy cave spiders; happy cave spiders come from Boatmurdered! Baby Bluefire says: "I'm laser convince-able!" Ah-ha-HA! Guess what just started playing on iTunes?
[link] That's the song, actually, that first made Injury's real name stick in my head, and it's what was going through my mind right when I started the design. Go figure! XD -- </ego> Good cheese comes from happy cave spiders; happy cave spiders come from Boatmurdered! Baby Bluefire says: "I'm laser convince-able!"
